Hello everyone this is my first post on this forum.
I just got an Action Replay Plus 4M but japanese games that require ram (for example Real Bout) can't seem to run.
I found a tutorial on this forum where is explained how to mod ARP4M in order to play those ram required games but there is a problem: my cartridge circuit is different than the one shown in the tutorial.

Does anyone know if it is possibile to mod my cartridge too?
Or should I buy a different cartridge?

hum..strange..ok;listen..( and excuse my english! , if your ar4 dont works correctly with your game (real bout ff), can you test with another game, like kof 96,97, or street figter alpha 3 , xmen vs street fighter,or metal slug..or other games who needs ram?...

if with all games its the same problem, so i think your ar4 is out..sorry.. and i think you must buy another ar4in1...its not very expansive..
here many members have an ar4 , (me to) and i never see this problem..in my opinion the ar4in1 is the bester of action replay series and it is very duty.. its very strange

other question: do you have the ar4 menu when you start your saturn?..i tell you that because, maybe its a bad contact between ar4 and the saturn..cleaning the saturn cartridge slot is sometimes necessary ...but only if you dont have ar4 menu on start..

edit: you play with backup or original game..?cause an ar4 cant read backup..

Sorry, but I don't speak french.
My Real Bout copy is original and at the moment I don't have any other games that require ram (I bought also Samurai Spirits 3 on Ebay and It should arrive in a few days).
I can see the start screen and all those japanese games that don't require ram work correctly.
Anyway I'll try to clean the Saturn port.

i see..the problem comes to the ram...maybe its your ar4 cartridge who is used... i think that is the problem..

do you no to make an isos and burn it?...if you can i give you a link to choose a game who need ram , you download and you test...
do you have modecheap on your sat?..

dac dada, en fait saturn fan avait un soucis avec son ar4, il ne pouvait pas lire les jeux qui demandent de la ram tu vois..donc au debut j'ai pensais à soit un soucis de son ar ou un faut contact , je lui ai donc dis de nettoyer son port cartouche et hop ça fonctionne! en résumant hein dada.

if you want games with 1 or 4 ram like street fighter zero3, xmen vs street fighter,kof 96,97 etc..sometimes you can find it here, 2 weeks ago i have bought a kof 97 with spin card, top! and not expansive.
